| Report by Nikos Silikas | |
Another great game between these two teams was played. Cardinal Langley are definitely one of the pleasant surprises this year in Premier League showing a strong group of players that form a coherent team. Stockport came out strong and had a great first quarter especially in the last 5 minutes that had a 12-2 run that almost proved deciding for the game. At the end of the quarter Stockport had a commanding lead of 26-14. In the second quarter C. Langley showed some of the qualities that made them such a competitive team and the quarter went marginally for Stockport with 20-19, who were leading by 46-33 at half-time. The third quarter was also balanced with Stockport winning it by 24-20. C. Langley had a strong finish to the game winning the last quarter by 21-13. Tom Sutton was the top scorer with 17 points. Dave Siddall followed with 15 points. Pete Rochford had 10 points. Ten players scored for Stockport. Overall it was a positive performance by Stockport and an enjoyable game by both teams. |
