Stockport started this game very strong and focussed. This no nonsense approach resulted in a 30-12 lead after the first quarter. The intensity was evident in the second quarter as well, where a 16-0 run led to an impressive first half score of 61-25 for Stockport.
 
In the second half an inevitable relaxation could be seen in the Stockport team and they dropped down a gear or two. Still with 3 minutes to the end of the game Stockport was ahead by 92-50. A 16-2 run by MMU in the last three minutes had the final score of 94-66.

Dave Siddall scored 21 points (with 19 in the first half). Tom Sutton had a superb game with 18 points, while Dave Lloyd had an ‘educational’ display for the younger players with 16 points (including 4 3-pointer’s)! All ten players scored demonstrating the good spirit in the team for the games to follow.
