The Spindles got off to a sluggish start this past week as they played hosts to Moss Side Tropics in round 2 of the MABL cup.

In what was a physical and fast paced four quarters, Spindles found themselves trailing early by four points and were never able to capitalize on the Tropics' turnovers.

Although Oldham marginally won the second and final quarters, it was the mistakes in the first which ultimately kept them from catching up with Moss Side.

John Lindsay lead the way for Spindles with 22, followed by Lee Isherwood with 20.
